Scalable Structure Discovery for Life Science Applications using Topological Data Analysis

Biography:

Ananth Kalyanaraman is a Professor and Boeing Centennial Chair in Computer Science at the School of EECS in Washington State University. He also holds affiliate faculty positions at the Molecular Plant Sciences Graduate Program and the Paul G. Allen School for Global Animal Health. Ananth works at the intersection of bioinformatics/computational biology, parallel computing, and graph analytics. His focus is on developing scalable algorithmic frameworks for various data-rich scientific domains and particularly the life sciences. Ananth is a recipient of several awards including early career awards, and conference best paper awards. He also serves on multiple journal editorial boards and conference organizational committees, and is a member of ACM, IEEE, and SIAM.
